Actor Khalil Ramos is devastated over the sudden death of his pet cat named Mandy whom he did not suspect to be suffering from a disease.
Ramos recalled the day Mandy died in his Instagram post today, Oct. 28, where he showed some photos of his beloved cat.
“My heart is shattered,” he said. “At exactly 1:09 [a.m.], our Mandy boo passed away due to Leukemia Viremia and a strong bacterial infection. She was 3 years old.”
Ramos already misses Mandy, recalling the days when she would lighten up his day with her gestures.
“You were always there for me when I needed comfort. You knew exactly how to make me smile with your warm cuddles and kisses every night. You were the first to greet me in the morning and the last one to say goodnight,” he addressed his dearly departed pet.
“This was all too sudden for me. I wish I was able to say goodbye. Thank you Mandy. I will forever cherish our memories together. I love you,” he added.
For those who are also cat owners, Ramos therefore has a plea: “A bit of advice to fellow cat owners, please make extra efforts in understanding the body language of your fur babies.”
Ramos feels extremely disappointed because he never knew that “Mandy was going through pain cause she was so, so good at hiding it.”
“She was playful, her appetite was okay, she was normal,” Ramos recalled. “One morning, hindi nalang siya makalakad (she just can’t walk anymore) and 24 hours later, we lost her. Vet visits are really important.” JB
