Classical pianist gives online concert at Sunshine Place

Sunshine Place continues to bring the magic of music to homes with “Nostalgia,” a piano journey down memory lane with multiawarded classical pianist Inna Montesclaros.

The latest in its “Sunshine Classics” concert series, it can be viewed from Sunshine Place: Senior Recreation Center’s YouTube channel until Dec. 31. Viewers can get a private link to the concert upon ticket purchase. With one click, registrants can access the concert video as many times as they want.

Montesclaros performs selections from Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 10, Sonetto 104 del Petrarca and Harmonies du Soir as well as Liszt’s Widmung with Schuman and Enescu’s Piano Suite No. 2.

She finished her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal College of Music in London, and Master of Arts degree and Advanced Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She finished with First Honors and Distinction.

Montesclaros is also a laureate of both national and international music competitions—the gold prize in the 2009 Asia International Piano Academy Festival and Competition in Cheonan, South Korea; the silver prize in the 1st International Piano Competition in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2010; and the bronze prize and sole winner, Concerto B Category at the 4th International Chopin Piano Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2010.

In 2017, she was awarded the bronze prize at the Rising Stars Grand Prix Competition in Berlin, Germany, with her duo partner, polish violinist Ada Witczyk.

The Sunshine Place, a senior recreation center under the Felicidad Tan Sy Foundation, is a venue for adults to live actively, through engaging in recreational classes and age-appropriate physical training programs.
