Christine Bersola, Julius Babao cleared of cancer after colonoscopy, endoscopy

Christine Bersola-Babao and her husband, fellow broadcast journalist Julius Babao, underwent colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures and tested negative for cancer.

Christine admitted feeling nervous before taking the tests, as per her Instagram post today, Nov. 30, where she shared a photo of herself surrounded by her doctors.

“At age 51, today’s the first time na magpapa-Colonoscopy & Endoscopy ako TBH, I’m Nerbyuz !” she said. (At age 51, today’s the first time that I am having a colonoscopy and endoscopy. To be honest, I’m nervous.)

“But I Trust in Jesus our ultimate Healer, and Doctor Alexandra Laya, Doc Jonnel Lim, Doc Aquino and the Nurse Team of @stlukesmedicalcenter Taguig. Salamuch (Thank you very much), Dear Doctors & Nurses. Salute,” she added.

Christine later happily announced through another post on the same day that she and her husband were finally cleared of cancer. She showed photos of themselves sitting in bed and holding up their test results.

“EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY. PRAISE GOD! and THANK YOU, Doctor Laya!” she said. “You took away my paranoia- and the thing I dread most- the Big C when you brought the good news that our polyps (3 for me, 4 found in Pappu J) are not cancerous.”

“Yun nga lang, pareho kaming may (Only thing is, both of us have) GERD, hehe- coffee lovers eh,” she quipped.

Christine then stressed the importance of testing, stating again that early detection of a disease is the way to a healthy life.

“PS . are u still afraid of undergoing Colonoscopy or Endoscopy? Now that I’ve experienced it, I tell you, don’t be afraid anymore. The procedure is swift and painless (with GA),” she urged fans and followers. “Go ahead! Schedule yours now. Early detection is the key.” JB
