Tomorrow, set your alarms at 2 pm as León Gallery opens The Kingly Treasures Auction 2021. The event sees valuable lots from the country’s most revered artists and valuable collections of important figures in The Philippine art community.
The auction features lots specifically for two beneficiaries: The Metropolitan Museum of Manila and its ART FOR ALL program and International Care Ministries (ICM).
For The Met, León Gallery has put up works from Ang Kikok, Aruto Luz, Jigger Cruz, Raffy Napay for auction. For ICM, there are masterpieces by Betsey Westendorp, Kenneth Montegrande, Phyllis Zaballero, Augusto Abor, Carlo Magno, and Jose Joya. Paintings by Manuel Baldermor, Remy Boquiren, Denise Weldon, Carmen Brias, Norberto Carating, and Juvenal Sanso are also included.
Star lots for the auction put a spotlight on the works of Benedicto Cabrera, Hernando R. Ocampo, Fernando Amorsolo, Annie Cabigting, Brian Uhing, and Anita Magsaysay-Ho.
