Korean actor Lee Dong Wook really enjoyed his character in the action series “Bad and Crazy” where he plays Ryu Su Yeol, a police inspector looking to get ahead in life.

“The script is very interesting and intriguing. I’d like to be able to play a character that is different from the characters I played before,” he said in an online press conference for the series, held yesterday, Dec. 13.

“I have no idea what it looked like but I look forward to that,” he said about his character.

As an action-drama series, the show has slam-bang energy which Wook acknowledged.

“Of course, we had a lot of action. That is important. However, to make this a better world, we plan to eye to something bad,” he said.

Wook believes he did a good job in playing the character of a policeman, while also acknowledging the director who was helpful to him through consultations. He also practiced, of course, for his action scenes.

“Yes, I did some practice. Everything was ready. You only have to follow the instructions. Of course, safety is always the number one concern,” he said.

When asked what his most memorable scene was, Wook said, “The entire series left a deep impression on me.”

As for his wildest recollection of himself, Wook said he does not have any, but he admits to being a big football fan who would be up in the middle of the night to catch live matches.

“The World Cup period was when I was most tired,” he recalled.

The series premieres on Dec. 17 at 9:50 p.m., across 191 territories globally on www.iq.com. JB
