Broadcaster Karen Davila is appealing to her fellow parents to have their kids protected from COVID-19 by getting them vaccinated.
Davila stressed the importance of vaccination in her Instagram page today, Dec. 16, where she shared photos and a video of her children David and Lucas getting vaccinated.
“HAVE YOUR KIDS VACCINATED. This is a LATE POST but wanted to share this with all the mommies out there,” she said
She decided to speak up after hearing “many parents are still skeptical about having their kids inoculated.”
“If you have fears, please consult your doctor,” she advised.
For Davila, “the right information is key.”
“Don’t believe everything you read. Make sure you’re getting it from the right sources. It was my son Lucas who kept insisting he get vaccinated because his classmates already were. Thanks Doc @cristinacornelio of @stlukesmedicalcenter for taking care of him,” she said.
Even her son David who has autism is already vaccinated.
“The last pic is David, my son in the autism spectrum – he was vaccinated too at the Makati Coliseum. Full dose. So to parents with kids with special needs, don’t be afraid. Speak with your doctor asap [about] your concerns,” she appealed.
“Vaccination is the only way we can have our kids back on [face-to-face] classes. It will keep them safe! It’s the only way we can move forward as a country,” Davila believes. “We have the vaccines! Let’s use it!” JB
