A true-blooded “plantita,” Aubrey Miles admits that in time growing plants can be boring and, thus, she shared some tips on how to get out of this boredom.
Miles feels it is better to have a break from tending plants. In her Instagram post yesterday, Jan. 3, she shared that the best way to get out of boredom is to break the monotony of plant activities.
“Do you still doubt yourself, If you can take care of your plants? Don’t worry, I had the same doubts years ago. Always remember to never beat yourself when it comes to taking care of your plants because you’ll surely get burnt out,” she said.
“Plants are supposed to give you a chill attitude,” Miles added, noting that “I’ve been there done that and now I know better.”
She then discussed the limitations in taking care of her plants.
“For indoor plants, I know the amount of my limit of how many plants I can take care for. Imagine the constant carrying of your plants to the watering area, then drain them, carry them back, placing them according to the spot and somehow angle them so they wont touch each other, Etc.,” she said.
“Minding the growlights in your face, timing the humidifier, checking for bugs , trimming, plus all the quality control LOL,” she added.
She advised plant growers to “find your rhythm, find your balance, go with the flow, don’t think too much most importantly take a meaningful break/space from your plants (short and sweet).”
“Plants will take care of themselves as long as you give them enough care,” she stressed, noting that “my plants just sits in my home like they don’t care.”
“Fortunately, I found my groove and I got their kiliti (desire)! You’ll eventually find your groove and flow,” she said, advising her followers to “keep planting. Plants can be with you forever as long as you keep them happy and growing.” /ra
