If there’s one thing that TV news anchor Gretchen Fullido was thankful for while on isolation because of COVID-19, it was her being able to reconnect with her friends, family and loved ones.

Fullido, who got infected with the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, was given the green light to continue her work after she was cleared by her doctor.

Her immediate activity was to go on grocery shopping after being given a clean bill of health, as can be seen in her Instagram page yesterday, Jan. 16, where she shared a photo of herself and her pet chihuahua, Party.

“After recovering from COVID-19, I finally got to do my much needed grocery shopping [and] got to buy essential stuff for the home. This was [day 13] for me,” she said in her post. “The day before [day 12] I got to go live on TV Patrol after I was cleared by my doctor and given the Fit to Work permit by the ABS-CBN clinic.”

“Praise God that I am able to physically work again,” she said, grateful that she’s gone back on her feet and slowly catching up on the things she needed to do.

“Praying for everyone to get better soon. I appreciate all the messages of love and support. Thank you,” she added.

But it was during isolation when Fullido realized that her being in a quarantine has rekindled her ties with her loved ones, her friends and family included.

“If there is one thing that I am so thankful for during my time in quarantine, it was being able to reconnect with so many friends, family and loved ones. It was time well spent reconnecting, catching up [and] sharing what we were all going through in sickness and in health,” she noted. “Love you guys.”

Fullido said Party was also happy to go out with her again on some errands.

“Note that she was not allowed inside [and] she just waited for me to finish then we made rampa na outdoors so she can have a good walk [and] see the outside world again,” she spoke of her fur baby. JB
