Seasoned singer-actress Rachel Alejandro admits she was so impressed by the acting of Jodi Sta. Maria in ‘The Broken Marriage Vow” that she found herself awestruck in their scenes together.
Alejandro, who plays Nathalia Lucero, recalled her scenes with Sta. Maria during an online press conference for the TV series, Jan. 17.
“Si Jodi, si Dr. Jill, alam mo ‘yung natutulala ako sa kanya. Nakakalimutan ko ‘yung mga lines ko sa sobrang kaba. I think talagang […] parang nakabog ako, na-rattle kasi ang galing-galing niya,” Alejandro said. (Jodi as Dr. Jill, you know, I was dazzled by her. I would forgot my lines out of nervousness… I got rattled because she was great.)
Alejandro assures viewers that they will be awestruck as well by Sta. Maria’s performance in the series.
“You will love her in the show. You guys are in for a treat. Ibang-ibang Jodi Sta. Maria ang mapapanood ninyo dito sa ‘The Broken Marriage Vow,'” she said. (You will see a hugely different Jodi Sta. Maria in “The Broken Marriage Vow.”)
Also, as Nathalia who is the mother of Sue Ramirez’s Lexy Lucero character, Alejandro was able to display her fashion sense.
“I did, sobra. Feeling ko Barbie doll ako ni direk Connie (Macatuno). Aliw na aliw ako highlighting the Filipino fashion designers,” she said, revealing that her character is a champion of Filipino designers.
(I really did. I felt like the Barbie doll of director Connie Macatuno. I was so amazed highlighting Filipino fashion designers)
Meanwhile, going back to acting after an absence of many years has given Alejandro shivers down her spine. Good thing she felt she that she clicked instantly with Ramirez right from day one, and all the way to doing the rest of their scenes together.
“It was so easy for me to think of her as my little sister. Minahal ko siya agad, parang ganoon,” she said. (I loved her immediately, it was like that.)
“The Broken Marriage Vow” airs on Jan. 24 at 8:40 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, iWantTFC, and TFC. JB
