Carnival Series 1
“Carnival Series 1” by Lars Malcolm Infante

Renaissance Art Gallery presents “Carnival,” the first solo exhibition of Lars Malcolm Infante. Infante’s canvases depict snarling beasts, personifying African tribal figures. The images are a collision of animal and human spirit, delineated through bristling, violent lines and a maelstrom of mark-making gestures. Born, raised and educated in Nigeria, West Africa, Infante is actually pure Filipino. This is his first visit to his parents’ home country, the Philippines. For his art studies, Infante is currently enrolled at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. (Renaissance Art Gallery is at 4/F, The Artwalk, Building A, SM Megamall, Edsa corner Julia Vargas Avenue, Mandaluyong; email renaissanceartph@gmail.com; follow @renaissanceartph on Facebook and Instagram.)
