TV host Christine Bersola-Babao could not contain her emotions as her only son Nio just turned 12 years old.
Bersola admitted to being a crybaby mom in her Instagram page today, Jan. 31, where she shared a montage of throwback photos and clips of her son to the tune of the Paul Anka song “Times Of Your Life.”
“This post made me cry. I’m such a sentimental crybaby Mom, (aren’t we all ?) I can’t believe Nio’s turning 12 today – and this coming school year, 1st Year Highschooler na sya! Wait what? Where did the time go? Freshman Highschool na!” she said.
Bersola could not believe how time flies and recalled what her OB-gynecologist friend once told her about children: to enjoy them at every age and phase of their lives. And although Nio is already a budding teenager, in her heart and in her eyes, her son remains her baby.
“You are still and will always be my baby Nio, I will be with you & for you, loving you unconditionally. Thank You for being super malambing (tender), loving [and] prayerful .A good son. We are truly blessed to have you,” she said.
As she greeted her son a happy birthday, Bersola also expressed her wish for the pandemic to soon be over, and for her son to be physically reunited with his friends again. Bersola also has a daughter with her husband, fellow TV personality Julius Babao. JB
