Jennica Garcia opens up about her COVID-19 journey

Celebrity mom Jennica Garcia wishes to have her daughters protected from all harm, and this is her daily prayer.

Garcia shared her COVID-19 journey and how through God’s intervention she was she able to battle it, as per her Instagram page, Feb. 18, where she also made a book recommendation for fellow moms.

“I became fearful of losing my life as well with the virus and leaving my two girls behind. (This was the month of April 2021 when all three of us girls were tested positive for COVID) I found myself very scared and praying to God. I asked that He protect my children in ways that I can’t,” she said.

Garcia was so afraid that she could also die that she spoke to her daughter Mori, telling her that she “has a Father in Heaven who is always looking out for her.”

“I ask that she remember my words and put it to heart so that when I am not around and Alessi is older, she can pass on the message to her younger sister when she can understand better,” she said.

She recognizes that being a Christian is tough because it can be hard to follow the commands of God, which may seem “impossible, heartbreaking even at times but it CAN BE DONE.”

“Not because we are good and holy but because God will enable us through the Holy Spirit, IF we ASK,” she said, noting that “we can do anything that we put our heart into BUT we can do far more [great] things if we walk in the Light.”

While life on earth is “temporary,” Garcia believes that despite this, it is “something that we must rejoice in because there is Heaven waiting for those who lived their life knowing, following and believing that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

As they were able to conquer COVID-19, Garcia has become a more firm believer of God, and it became her “habit” to always ask God to protect her children in “ways that I can’t until God spoke to me.”

“His message to me was very clear. My children will not magically/instantly believe in Him just because I said that the scripture is true. As their Mother and Primary Caretaker, there is weight and [mindfulness] in being a model of Godly character,” she noted. “I am tasked to grow deeper in Christ. This way, my children will see Christ in the way I speak, make decisions and live my life.” JB
