Doug Kramer looks back 5 years ago on groundbreaking for family’s Antipolo home

Life is full of uncertainties and former professional basketball player Doug Kramer happily shared the story of his own leap of faith to help inspire others.

The PBA star spoke about trusting the Almighty in his decisions, as can be seen in his Instagram page today, March 10, where he showed a throwback photo of the groundbreaking for his family’s Antipolo City home, which happened five years ago.

“Letting go of what’s good and giving room for Him to give what’s best,” he said. “This was the groundbreaking of our home exactly [five years] ago to this day. Still remember thinking if this was the right decision for our family.”

“Little did we know, upon completion June 2019, the pandemic and lockdowns would hit a few months later,” he recalled. “Looking back, even with all the challenges and obstacles, everything worked out the way it has. It’s a reminder for our family to always rely and trust in God for His provisions and timing for everything.”

Kramer believes that being in one’s comfort zone makes most people forget to focus on what God can do. He explained, “We’re so used to relying just on ourselves, going through the same cycle and routine, that we don’t give enough room for God to work in our lives.”

“I think it’s no accident that He would always give us chances or moments like this where His strength would be highlighted, and is made perfect in our weaknesses,” he said, noting that “the choice is always ours to make.”

“Everyone has a story to tell, and this was ours,” Kramer said, while encouraging fans and followers of his page to share their own leap of faith story, to inspire other people. JB
