Sexy stars who throw all caution to the wind are a dime a dozen nowadays and veteran director Joel Lamangan thinks they better improve their acting if they are to maintain their existence in the movie industry.
Lamangan was asked about his advice on sexy stars during the online press conference for his latest film “Island Of Desire” today, March 28.
(Your body should not be your only investment. Good acting should be the investment. One should learn how to develop acting skills for longevity in this industry, because they will eventually grow old. They would not want to see their bodies when they reach 30.)
Lamangan also thinks that movies with good stories will make the public watch again in cinemas, regardless of how sexy or not a film is.
(There is sex in real life. So, those stories with sex and has substance, that will make moviegoers come back to cinemas, because sex is part of life. That is not unusual. Human beings do it, that’s why it is a mirror of our truth.)
(Like eating, crying, laughing. Sex is part of life, that’s why a movie with sex will be watched by people.)
“Island of Desire” is a sexy drama starring Vivamax’s rising stars, Christine Bermas, Sean de Guzman, Jela Cuenca and Rash Flores.
It’s about a young woman named Martha (Bermas) who is assigned to work remotely in an island called Isla Bato. As she stays longer on the island, Martha begins to discover the strange things about the place and its secrets, including a cult with fanatic followers and an abusive leader.
