Practice makes progress, says Joyce Pring

Host and vlogger Joyce Pring thinks that practice and preparation are the things that can really make one’s career more interesting.

Pring explained how practice can make one competent in a craft, as can be seen in her Instagram page today, April 4, where she shared a short video of what practice does for her.

“Practice. And practice not just in my craft, but in the tiny habits that fill up my day,” she said. “99% of the things you see me put out online are a product of hours and hours of preparation.”

She shared that she makes it her practice to read books and keep herself updated on news and current events.

She also makes it a practice to watch people she looks up to, to “see how they carry themselves,” so she can apply the wisdom she learns from their journeys.

It is also her practice to “create structures, systems and schedules” to balance her career, family and personal growth. She also encourages everyone to focus on “progress, not perfection.”

“What’s the saying? Success is where preparation meets opportunity,” she stressed. “So, when the right opportunities come along, I’m ready.” JB
