We’re saying it: this Pikachu and Squirtle sneakers are going to be iconic

Earlier this year, Adidas announced its partnership with legendary television and pop culture series Pokémon to release a collaborative shoe model. Now, we’re getting our first on-foot look at the The Adidas Originals x Pokémon Campus sneaker, which is designed specifically around Pikachu and Squirtle.
Each shoe features an illustration of the characters in various poses printed all over the white shoe. The yellow and blue heel tabs on each pair symbolize the color of the corresponding characters while the sides of the shoe cover an embroidery of Pikachu and Squirtle. Both designs have a co-branded tongue tag sporting the official Pokémon logo to complete the model of the shoe.
There is no official release date yet for the collection but both brands are reportedly going to release other models and key characters of the popular series. Adidas is also set to partner with Dragonball Z, Beavis and Butthead, and even Game of Thrones to release the most exciting pop culture shoes yet.
