This illustrated collection of essays by Baguio City-based theater performer, writer and healer Lissa Romero de Guia written from 2004 to 2020 includes “so many life changes and stages—the breakup of my first marriage, finding love again, moving from Manila to Baguio, becoming a parent, weathering the vicissitudes of life. I sometimes feel like I’ve lived so many lifetimes in my short 48 years of life on earth.” What does she hope the reader gains from reading her book? “I hope that these essays help them have their own insights on their own lives, the beauty and wonder of existence, the tensile strength of the human spirit.”
“People I Have Been” will be launched July 28, 4 p.m. at Mt. Cloud Bookshop, Baguio City, Benguet.
