Kyle Echarri wants to explore showbiz on his own, without being in a love team

Young actor Kyle Echarri wants to try show business on his own, without the benefit of a love team partner.

“Ako po sa ngayon ay gusto kong i-explore kung ano ang makakaya ko (For me now, I want to explore what I am capable of). Seeking discomfort, kumbaga (that is),” Echarri said during the live media conference for the series “Lyric and Beat” last July 19.

Echarri joins the cast composed of fellow Gold Squad members Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin in the lead roles.

Without a screen partner in the series where he plays Grey, Echarri is slowly getting used to acting on his own.

“I wanna look for things that I am not used to. This is something I’m not used to pero masaya ako sa kung ano ang meron po ako, kung ano ang nangyayari sa career ko (but I am happy with what I have, with what is happening in my career),” he said. “And I really not just want to prove to people na kaya kong mag-isa (that I can do it on my own). Gusto kong patunayan sa sarili ko talaga (I really want to prove it to myself).”

Does he miss being in a love team?

“When it comes to love teams there are a lot of ups and a lot of downs. Kahit papaano (Somehow), like I said before, nagpapasalamat po ako sa career ko dati (I am thankful for my career before),” he said.

Echarri acknowledged that fact that he would never be in this position right now in his career if it were not for being in a love team before.

“To say that I miss the love team, the way I could say it… I am thankful. I am thankful for the experience,” he stressed. “Sa ngayon po, naka-focus ako sa karera ko ngayon at sa future ko, kung saan ako pupunta (For now, I am focused on my career, in my future, where I am headed).”

“Lyric and Beat,” directed by Dolly Dulu, will stream on iWantTFC starting Aug. 10. JB
