Music fanatics have darn good reasons to go gaga during the second quarter of 2012. We feel it only fair to warn your bank accounts for yet another spending spree, because after Holy Week, the concert mayhem resumes with a loud bang. Expect a veritable mishmash of comeback artists and rescheduled tours, with alt-punk and heavy rock turning on the heat full blast in April.
May and June might seem strangely silent in contrast, but with the grand opening of the SM Mall of Asia Arena reportedly scheduled in mid-May, we just might see our calendars being filled up with big-name confirmations at the last minute.
While details for another Lifehouse Manila tour on May 26 have yet to be released, rumors of a certain “monster” act have been floating around. Then there’s also the appearance of an amalgamated acronym that’s been inducing euphoric seizures in ’90s fangirls (*cough NKOTBSB cough*). But let’s not be too greedy; after all, we’ll have more than our fill of ear candy soon enough.
