Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is venturing into her first interior design business as she launches her own line of rugs and carpets.
Wurtzbach made the announcement yesterday, Sept. 11, via her official Instagram page where she shared three photos with different carpets and rugs.
“Today, I can finally say that I’m launching my own line of rugs and carpets — in collaboration with @studiosoliven,” she said. “This is my first foray into interiors, and it was a very tedious but fulfilling process (it took me almost two years!) figuring out how I wanted my carpets to look like and feel like and producing them.”
Wurtzbach’s interest in home design came after she was fixing up her condo (and now her own house), liking the idea of “walking into a space and instantly connecting with it.”

“I didn’t think I’ll have this kind of connection with home design but here I am designing my first carpets. It’s been a joy for me and I hope you guys like it too,” she said. “Our floors carry everything for us in our home, and making it look beautiful with rugs that depict my personal style truly make me happy especially now that I’m about to move into my own house.”
She remembered how she lied down on the carpets which she created when she first moved in her condo.
“Wala pa masyadong laman yung condo ko noon. (My condo was almost bare then). But you know what, lying down there, that was when I knew I was home,” she said. JB
