For Dimples Romana, the concept of featuring short stories about love in the digital show “Love Bites” is something that is very new and interesting.

Romana and her “Viral Scandal” co-start Miko Raval are featured in the “Love Bites” episode “Letters for Leah.” So what’s new about the show?

“A lot of us, we are used to instant everything like fast everything, instant everything, instant love. Everything has to be out of the comfort of our own. It always has to be like a personal comfortable feeling for us loving. And so instant,” she said during the virtual media conference, September 14.

“Kaya tingnan mo, shorts, ‘di ba, kasi (So you see, these are shorts, right? Because) we’re really giving in to the feeling of adaptation in terms of serving our audience because [the] shorter the stories, it is easier to digest, mas mabilis ang kilig mo (your giddiness comes fast),” she explained.

She sees the connection of this with the kind of love that “gets stuck on you and it grows on you.” She explained that this kind of love may come to you quickly but “it has a lasting effect on you.” She also raved about the beautiful story of her character Leah and Raval’s Allan in the episode.

As to the notion that people in love should always be together, she noted that the show defies that kind of love.

“It’s actually defying [notions of] love and defying space and distance and time. Para sa kanilang dalawa (For the characters in the show), naka-suspend ‘yun (that is suspended),” she said. “Isn’t that one of the romantic kinds of love na parang alam mo lang na merong nagmamahal sa ‘yo (that you just know there’s someone loving you) somewhere out there and maybe, just maybe, if the timing is right you will find one another again.”
