LUNES & more rides the post-pandemic “Pobla” wave

I have known the LUNES, Dear Adam Sweet Lucy and La Vie En Rose owner for many years now and have actually had some collaborations with her. My good friend, hard-working, risk-taking Jenny Yrasuegui who has now taken the Poblacion scene by storm is making her mark in post-pandemic “Pobla.”

Jenny Yrasuegui

LUNES which is an “every day dining creative comfort food” concept is her take on Filipino food with a conscious effort to also offer a lot of vegetable dishes. Price points are very reasonable. Affordable for students, people who work nearby and anyone on a budget.

Above the LUNES staircase which is hidden behind an unassuming door is her other concept called Dear Adam Sweet Lucy which is a cafe by day and craft cocktail bar at night. Lastly is La Vie En Rose which is a private speakeasy.

Our LUNES lunch:

LUNES version of a kaki age okoy — vegetable fritters
their monggo, gising-gising, and ensaladang talong
Pinakbet with fried squash flowers
Fried fish, hamachi
Beef Sinigang
Chicken Inasal
Chicken Piaparan
