Being a beauty queen herself, 2022 Miss Earth Philippines Jenny Ramp believes that maintaining good complexion entails a lot of discipline and sacrifice.

“As you can see I have to wear a lot of makeup almost everyday, sometimes it’s even heavier than this. And because of that, my skin suffers. Sometimes I have breakouts and pimples. But thankfully there’s skin care brands like Glutanex. I could save my skin and it makes me feel refreshed,” she said during the launch of a Korean skincare brand, last October 8, at Mall of Asia Main Mall Atrium.

As a beauty queen, Ramp said that it’s most important to take care of her skin.

“I have skin care routine and I use amazing products like this. It’s important to use this after the end of the day. I always see the result that is so good on my skin. I always feel so glowing and refreshed and so thankful that skin care products like this exists,” she said

So, what’s a big no-no when it comes to maintaining a healthy, youthful skin?

“A no-no definitely would definitely have to be wearing makeup while sleeping. I will never do that, that’s why I always remove my makeup and cleanse,” she said.

Being the host country for the Miss Earth pageant this year, Ramp is more than grateful to represent the Philippines. But she admits there is so much pressure as the country is known far and wide as a nation of beauty titlists around the world.

“I am so grateful that I’m the host candidate so that I could show all the other candidates, there’s about 90 of them from other countries. It’s gonna be a tough competition. I am preparing right now,” she said, noting that “there’s always gonna be pressure because carrying the name of the Philippines… because, you know, the Philippines is known as the pageantry powerhouse.”

“All of our beautiful Filipinas, they always bring home the crown. So I am I hoping to bring home the fifth crown from Ms. Earth. There’s pressure but it inspires me to do better,” she said. EDV
