Arte Bettina presents a two-artist exhibition of the works of Ferdinand Cacnio and Naomi Banal. “Vivid Resonance” is a collection of elegance and grace as visualized by the artists: metal works and poignant yet surreal strokes for Cacnio, and non-figurative yet radiant and expressive illustrations for Banal. Cacnio is a man of multiple talents and skills. He is well-known for his elegant sculptures and effervescent paintings. To others, he is an experienced graphic designer. What makes Banal outstanding is her ability to deconstruct emotions and experiences through abstract expressions, vibrant colors and expressive frameworks without compromising their essence.
Exhibit will run until Oct. 20 at Arte Bettina, 3/F Greenbelt 5, Makati City.
‘Tribute to Filipino Women’ at ArtistSpace
“Tribute to Filipino Women” is a solo exhibition of visual artist Maryrose Gisbert. The Filipino woman is the embodiment of strength, courage, grace and beauty far beyond what the eye can see. Set against brightly colored and richly textured canvases, with moods ranging from serious to playful, even whimsical, Gisbert’s subjects possess huge eyes that express a wealth of emotions. She hopes that this exhibition will serve as a proper tribute to the Filipino woman, and likewise encourage the viewers to offer their own.
The exhibit will run until Oct. 19 at the ArtistSpace located at G/L Ayala Museum Annex, Makati City.
