This RPG game is about a heist for unreleased Carly Rae Jepsen songs

Crime. Betrayal. Mystery. Carly Rae Jepsen.

If you find all of the above intriguing, then boy, do we have the sci-fi tabletop RPG game for you.

Boy Problems is a free, printable RPG made by game designer and now modern-day hero, Colin Cummings. The story goes that the players are hired by an anonymous backer to steal a “vault” of sorts which contains the non-fictional 200 unreleased songs that CRJ has. It’s located in a “well-defended location” and is currently owned by a wealthy, apparently Carly Rae-obsessed person, or group of persons.

The game isn’t as lighthearted as you’d think, though. The instructions offer a full-blown operation written on a cyberpunk background, where you get to customize your characters’ strengths, flaws, goals, and even bonus weapon. To give you an idea, some of the roles you can play are The Fixer, The Muscle, The Inside Man, and The Grifter. Feel free to create CRJ reference-heavy names for your heist personas.

The core game is free to download here, and the creator has promised to make more extensions for sale through his Patreon. Now, petition to make a version for unreleased Rihanna music.
