Just this October 15, BTS held their widely anticipated ‘Yet To Come’ concert at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium in support of Korea’s bid for World Expo 2030. There, they performed their biggest hits such as Spring Day, Dynamite, Butter, IDOL, Fire, and MIC Drop, as well as the live debut of Run BTS. While an unforgettable moment for many, this also marked the transition to a new phase in the group’s journey. After the concert, BIGHIT MUSIC announced via Twitter that all 7 members would be enlisting in the military, starting with the eldest Jin, and followed by the rest once they’ve each finished their individual schedules. They hope to come together again as a whole unit in 2025 when everyone has completed their mandatory service.
ARMYs I’m sure you’ll miss them, I know I’ll do. But till then, maybe a drink from Binggrae Milk x TinyTAN will bring a little solace as we hold onto their promise for a better future with them that is yet to come.
Earlier this year, they released their anthology album ‘Proof’ which featured the track Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment). Through this song and their celebratory dinner which they streamed and posted via YouTube, they shared their lingering thoughts following a streak of groundbreaking appearances and performances. Burdened by the sudden responsibilities passed onto them by virtue of their immense popularity and influence, they felt the need to step back, take time to themselves, and explore as individuals outside of their bubble. In a conversation with Pharell with the Rolling Stones, RM shares that at one point, having talked in front of the U.N. and even visited the White House, he felt as if he had become a diplomat rather than an artist. Now, we have seen their words come into reality, finally exploring outwards in search of their own unique sounds. This new phase was launched with the release of j-hope’s solo album Jack In The Box, Jin’s single The Astronaut, and RM’s solo album Indigo, with the other members looking to release their own works in the following year.
