With the sheer number of new beauty products being launched left and right, beauty brands are working harder than ever to set themselves apart from the competition. Next to excellent quality, products that have unique packaging appeal the most to buyers. After all how many times have you picked up a product off the shelves just because you thought it was cute? I know I would be lying if I said I’ve never bought an intricately pressed product before testing it out.
And as a sucker for chic packaging, I find myself thinking twice about ruining a product’s pristine condition to apply it. My dilemma here is, would I rather keep the products unused and somewhat of a sculptural collection of some sort or get some use out of it? I mean some products are just beautiful enough to be used as decoration for our vanity.
Here are 6 heartbreakingly beautiful products that are (almost) too pretty to use.
1. Florasis
Florasis is a luxury cosmetic brand from Hangzhou, China. Inspired by traditional beauty rituals and aesthetics, their products contain floral and herbal essence which they believe are beneficial for one’s beauty inside out. Dare I say they’re one of the brands with the most beautiful products available in the market, with their intricate oriental-inspired designs pressed into powders and molded into lipstick tubes? Everything is so pretty that it’s almost impossible to choose just one standout. Try their products here!
2. Burberry Fresh Glow Highlighter
This highlighter is not only pretty thanks to the pan’s lace pattern design but it also works beautifully as an illuminating power to give you a naturally luminous glow. The powder is finely milled for buildability but also minimizes pores and skin textures, leaving you a radiant finish.
3. Paul & Joe Anti-UV Cat Lipstick
The Anti-UV Cat not only moisturizes and hydrates your lips but also offers sun protection with its SPF25. And anything with SPF I am a fan of. A bonus is the shape of this cute little kitten. How can you resist?
Paul and Joes is a lifestyle brand by Parisian owner and designer, Sophie Mechaly, carrying a range of products from men’s and women’s clothing, beauty, homeware, and decor, to even tech accessories. Their brand is centered around the Parisian philosophy of enjoying life hence their bright and bold packaging.
The first cute lipstick with an SPF25! It will hydrate your lips and protect them from the sun’s rays thanks to its anti-UV formula. It will leave your lips shiny, soft, and slightly rosy. The perfect little lipstick in the shape of a cat, protective and moisturizing that will follow you everywhere!
4. Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder
A cult favorite thanks to the gorgeous glow this powder gives, Laura Mercier has been one of my top highlighters to date. It gives a lit-from-within sheen without the chunky glitters or emphasizing any texture. And how can you deny how yummy this pan looks? It reminds me of smooth honey. Buy it here!
5. HIPDOT Eyecon
Los Angeles-based makeup brand HipDot is known for its quirky collaborations with various established brands. Having done make-up collections inspired by the popular instant noodle cup Nissin, iconic candy brand Reese’s and other companies have launched their popularity in social media. One of their most popular product is their Eyecons (get it) which are custom-shaped creamy baked, metallic, and shimmer powders in a variety of colors. They’ve also done collaborations with Seasame Street, Hello Kitty, Spongebob, and Carebears.
6. Estee Lauder Perfume Compact
Created by luxury designer and storyteller Monica Rich Kosann, these whimsical solid perfumes were made exclusively for Estée Lauder since the 60s and have been released once a year around the holidays since then. Definitely the perfect vanity decor if I do say so myself, this beautiful solid perfume compact contains a balm that admittedly is not a lot but is described to have the fragrance of a thousand flowers with notes of Rose, Lily, Tuberose, and Orange Flower.
