Vlogger and yoga instructress Maxene Magalona underscored the importance of spiritual growth in one’s life.

Magalona felt it is one of the most essential to have in life as can be gleaned from her Instagram post March 31, sharing photos of her while in a busy street in Hong Kong.

She began her aria by posting a quote about spiritual growth from Michael A. Singer culled from his book “LivingUntethered” which said: “This is the essence of spiritual growth. If you work on yourself, you’re going to create a beautiful place inside to live. This is more important than your marriage or your family. It’s more important than your job or your career. You’re working on yourself directly instead of indirectly. If you create a beautiful inner environment, you can have a wonderful marriage, a wonderful family life, and a wonderful job. But if you have a mess inside, you’ll just be trying to use these outer situations to make yourself okay.”

Magalona revealed that she is working to have spiritual growth for some time now.

“Working on myself everyday, even when I’m traveling. Especially when I’m traveling!” she said.

She recalled an incident which somehow triggered her anxiety during a trip in Hong Kong.

“I honestly didn’t expect to get triggered during this trip but I still did! Walking around a different country requires a lot of energy + being vegan in HK is not as easy as I thought. Good thing I was able to just observe my emotions and not let them take control of me,” she recalled.

Traveling, for Magalona, is “always be one of my favorite forms of natural therapy” as she gets “to relax, destress and most importantly, heal by allowing the experience to teach me the lessons that I need to learn.”

“Thanks for bringing me here safely,” she added.
