Actress Dimples Romana’s recent climb to the Rainbow Mountains is more than a journey as it taught her what humanity and its never ending beauty is all about.
Romana documented her climb to the popular mountain with her son Alonzo on her Instagram post yesterday, April 12, and recalled what the journey is all about.
“The climb up the Rainbow Mountains in the Andes was not entirely about the destination and the peak. It was the journey, every step of the way up, the pauses, the stops, the roadblocks and humps,” the star of “The Iron Heart” said.
But more than this, she said that “it was about the people, the beautiful and kind Peruvians who made sure we felt their warmth through the cold weather, they made us feel safe, and welcomed.”
“The other tourists from all over the world who would stop, take the time to check on us, offer us food which we had too haha and my personal fave of the offerings were really the words of encouragement that WE CAN DO IT TOO,” she said.
She described her experience as “humanity and it’s never ending beauty.”
“So if you ever find yourself wondering if you can still reach the peak of your own mountains in life, never ever forget- it’s not entirely about the destination. It’s almost and more importantly the journey that makes everything worthwhile,” she said, noting that Peru was “just a dream” and “now an amazing reality for my family and I.”
“We will definitely be back with the whole fam,” she promised. EDV
