Jonathan Majors Gets Dropped From Management and PR Company Following Abuse Allegations

Hollywood’s rising star can’t seem to catch a break as Jonathan Majors was just dropped by both talent manager Entertainment 360 and PR firm The Lede Company. This comes after Majors was arrested in New York City on March 25 for alleged assault.

The break, Deadline reports, was “due to issues surrounding the actor’s personal behavior”. Both parties however, have not elaborated on the decision.

The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ actor is set to appear in court on May 8 as he faces multiple counts of harassment and assault. Records show that Majors was taken into custody following a domestic dispute with a 30-year old woman who was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck”.

Defense attorney Priya Chaudhry shared, “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.” She adds, “evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”

One such piece of evidence includes a text message sent by the unnamed victim to Majors following his arrest. The message states, “Please let me know you’re okay when you get this. They assured me that you won’t be charged. They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight. I’m so angry that they did. And I’m sorry you’re in this position. Will make sure nothing happens about this. I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone. I only just got out of hospital. Just call me when you’re out. I love you.”

Majors recently ammassed massive success following his appearances on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, where he was praised for his performances. This latest fiasco places a hitch on his rising stardom and maybe even his future roles. He has however already shot the second season of Marvel/Disney+’s Loki, and is set to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The jury is still out, but only time will tell whether or not Major’s meteoric rise will be met by an equally swift descent.
