When you get to a certain level, you can go either up or down. That’s exactly what the popular and chic 7th High Boutique Club did, dahlings, when they launched Elevate!, a reengineering of this “in” club’s interiors, amenities, and services designed to bring guests a club experience unmatched by any other club in the Philippines, bringing about a new look and feel to the club, by talented architect and interior designer Carlo Calma.
“At the same time, our guests will find that the same 7th High hospitality and quality of service has been retained,” Allan Marasigan, 7th High general manager, told moi excitedly, palanggas.
“The developments were dedicated to upgrading the audio-visual facilities of the Club floor and the Lounge, with fully interactive LED lights, an international trend featured in bars and clubs in Europe, the US, Hong Kong and Las Vegas. This will bring to the guests a better acoustic experience that few other clubs to date can match,” he added.
During the launch, the Club floor was totally dressed up in exclusive themes featuring the seasons—summer, spring and winter—each a symbolic move toward change, upgrading the Club to a “globalized” experience. And a new experience it was, so much so that one invitee told moi, “I love this place, Maurice. It’s the only place I can see my friends and meet other new beautiful faces around Bonifacio.” Hey, that’s what moving on to another level is all about, ’di bala, palanggas?
According to young shaker and achiever José Haresco, 7th High awesome owner, “We are striving to bring a global clubbing experience to the Philippines, one that is on par with what can be experienced in the best clubs abroad. It’s one way to deliver value, and recognize everything that can be seen, felt, heard, and even tasted. That’s the essence behind Elevate!” I’ll say, Amen to that, dahlings.

A new Marriott GM
There comes a time when one day we wake up and say, “It’s time for me to move forward,” dahlings. And so it was when the world-renowned Marriott chain of hotels brought in their super charmant new general manager Scott Sibley from Guam, where he was the GM, to head Marriott Manila at Resorts World, where he was given a lavish welcome cocktail buffet excellently done by executive chef Meik Brammer, with a jaw-dropping selection that left you digging in till you dropped! That’s how good it was.
The swinging Draybers Band, a regular performer of Resorts World Manila’s Bar 360, rocked the stage with hit songs of the ’80s and ’90s, making the dance floor shake to intensity 9, dahlings, with the wild dancing of the invitees.
“This gathering also hails the 15-month straight market share leadership of Marriott Manila, which has proven to be the most-sought after venue in the country,” said Marriott’s dedicated, eye-catching director of marketing communications Michelle Garcia, palanggas.
I’m sure that the professional Scott will feel sooo at home here in Manila, being married to his attractive Filipina wife Millie, dahlings.
Rocking with LMFAO
Summer is just sizzling and even got hotter, bolder and better when Starmobile launched the Neptune B302 music edition phone, by rocking out with the energetic LMFAO. The internationally renowned electro-pop duo, known for their awesome hits “Party Rock Anthem” and “I’m Sexy and I Know It,” dahlings, had a jampacked concert at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, one of the biggest musical acts ever to hit our shores, palanggas.
The big dome was transformed into one gigantic super club as LMFAO and the Quest Crew got the mob into extreme partying! “Thanks to Starmobile, now marking its entry as a strong and credible brand of quality dual SIM mobile phones, at prices within reach. This is because of its clever combination of innovation and style, providing intelligent, friendly and very affordable mobile technologies with its full range of mobile marvels,” explained to moi by Thinline Advertising president, sharp-as-a-whip Frank Briones, no less, as we rocked the dome the rock-star way, palanggas.

A birthday lunch to remember
Dedicated socio-civic leader and charity worker Kaye Tinga hosted an informal fun, fun lunch for “my dear and close friend Rhoda Campos Aldanese on the occasion of her birthday,” the invite read, dahlings. Held at the fab and one-of-a-kind home accessories and furniture store W17, at La Fuerza Compound in Makati.
The perfect hostess that she is, Kaye had the yummy sumptuous five-course international menu catered by Dusit Thani Manila with the hotel’s mega asset, senior manager and vivacious PR Danelle Palang, taking charge so that everything went well. It did, palanggas, with the loads of chit-chat that went on, with the lunch bunch that included lovebirds Kevin Tan and Michelle See; fashion designers Criselda Lontok and my palangga Larrie Silva; energetic siblings Gina Rodriguez and George Salud, with low-profile socialite Cora Tan and dashing shipping magnate Sherwin Hing.
Rhoda’s adorable husband, businessman Vince Aldanese of the popular chocolate brand Villa del Conte from Italy, helped entertain the couple’s fun pals like Ria Francisco-Prieto; Sevrine Miehle; W17’s Andy Vazquez Prada; Arturo Go; and Dusit Thani Hotel’s Danelle, natch!
