Yesterday local news sites reported that Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez would resign and give up her hard-earned crown. This came after the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) released an alleged statement saying that Katarina “expressed that she may not accept the crown,” and that they’re actually waiting for her resignation later.

A few hours later, Katarina busted all rumors and posted on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, saying that she did not make any announcement that she will resign and asked that people stop making assumptions.
I never made any announcements that I’m not accepting the crown? Is it alright if everyone refrains from making assumptions first.

And maybe think it’s been two days since coronation which I obviously enjoyed so much. It was one of if not the funnest things I’ve done.

It has only been two days since the grand coronation night, can’t we give the lady a break? She’s savoring her win and is probably taking a quick breather until she represents our country in the Miss Intercontinental pageant.
We’d like to congratulate Katarina again and we hope this issue lays to rest until word comes from you directly. And in her words, “There’s a lot of magic in honesty. Remember that.”
