EU-PH ties celebrated at Europe Day event

At an event commemorating Europe Day, European Union (EU) Ambassador Luc Véron emphasized the importance of creative efforts to safeguard world peace, drawing inspiration from the aftermath of World War II when Europe united to rebuild.

He commended the Philippines for sharing the values of unity, democracy and the rule of law. The EU stands in solidarity with the Philippines in upholding international law and a rules-based international order, he said.

Véron expressed appreciation for the longstanding and strong partnership between the EU and the Philippines across various areas such as trade, climate change, international security and disaster preparedness.
