Filipino-American Actress Ana Cruz Kayne Stuns in a Dennis Lustico Terno for ‘Barbie’ Hollywood Movie Premiere

Ana Cruz Kayne, the Filipina-American actress who plays the role of “Supreme Court Justice Barbie” in Greta Gerwig’s latest film showcased her Filipino roots as she took on the pink carpet donning a Filipinana number

Come on Barbie, let’s go party…in a terno! Yup, you heard that right. It’s not every day that you see a traditional Filipiniana making its way down a red carpet — or in this case, pink — and Ana Cruz Kayne did just that as she attended the Hollywood premiere for her latest film, Barbie.

Taking to Instagram, the actress who played the role of “Supreme Court Justice Barbie”, thanked her team for making her look possible. “Maraming salamat to my dream team for sending me down the pink carpet feeling like my own snatched fairy godmother.” she shared with he followers.

Kayne was styled by none other than Filipino fashion stylist and consultant PJ Pascual. She also gave special mention to fashion designer Dennis Lustico who specially created her “Balintawak” top which showcased delicate beading, and of course, classic butterfly sleeves.

And while we’re still swooning over her gorgeous pink carpet number, this actually isn’t the first, nor is it the only time we see Kayne in a terno! In fact, the stand-out silhouette also makes an appearance in the movie. In a post made on her Instagram, Kayne happily shared a still from the movie where she was standing next to other members of the Barbie cast such as Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Sharon Rooney, and Emma Mackey. There, she’s seen in a ruffled green, blue, and pink frock that was paired with what appears to be capiz shell earrings and a matching necklace of the same material.

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see Kayne in action once “Barbie” officially hits Philippine theatres this coming July 19, 2023!
