Lawmakers, netizens jab at Mocha Uson’s federalism video

Former sexy star and now Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson headlines news stories again. It’s been a while, I know. What about her this time, you ask? Her racy federalism jingle.

On her Facebook live video entitled Good News Game Show with Drew and Mocha last Thursday, Aug. 2, Uson coaxed social media personality Drew Olivar to dance the jingle at the video‘s 5:10 mark. While lewdly touching his crotch and chest, Olivar was chanting “Ipepe, ipepe. Idede, idede. Ipede, pede, pede, pederalismo!

Uson was tapped by the Consultative Committee (Con Com), the team that drafted the proposed federal Constitution, to educate Filipinos about federalism because she has a huge social media following (the Mocha Uson Blog has 5.7 million followers of Facebook). In fact, she met with the Presidential Communications Operations Office, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Con Com on how she would do the “simplification” of the idea for the “ordinary people.”

Apparently, the first step is through this distastefully-made video which immediately backfired. Here are some of our lawmakers’ and netizens’ reaction to the video.
