Former sexy star and now Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson headlines news stories again. It’s been a while, I know. What about her this time, you ask? Her racy federalism jingle.
On her Facebook live video entitled Good News Game Show with Drew and Mocha last Thursday, Aug. 2, Uson coaxed social media personality Drew Olivar to dance the jingle at the video‘s 5:10 mark. While lewdly touching his crotch and chest, Olivar was chanting “Ipepe, ipepe. Idede, idede. Ipede, pede, pede, pederalismo!”
Uson was tapped by the Consultative Committee (Con Com), the team that drafted the proposed federal Constitution, to educate Filipinos about federalism because she has a huge social media following (the Mocha Uson Blog has 5.7 million followers of Facebook). In fact, she met with the Presidential Communications Operations Office, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Con Com on how she would do the “simplification” of the idea for the “ordinary people.”
Apparently, the first step is through this distastefully-made video which immediately backfired. Here are some of our lawmakers’ and netizens’ reaction to the video.
READ: Sen. Koko Pimentel says he was wrong to think Mocha Uson would help public understand federalism: “Ako ay nagkamali! Akala ko makakatulong si mocha sa pagpapaliwanag tungkol sa Pederalismo… Di ko lubos akalain na bababuyin pala nila ang kawsa ng Pederalismo…” pic.twitter.com/FFbGWh08aj

Re PCOO’s “pepedederalismo” – It is a desperate attempt to attract attention by intentionally offending our sense of propriety! It is downright vulgar & has no place in the public discourse on such an important issue as THEIR proposed shift to federalism & charter change!

Without Mocha Uson, federalism is already dead and awaiting cremation at the Senate. With Mocha Uson, the ashes should be thrown far, far away from the Philippines’ 7,107 beautiful islands.

Asec Mocha Uson is the best promoter of Pres Duterte’s fake federalism, infamous for its vulgarity to railroad it through an undemocratic & Sen-less charter change, postponement of the 2019 elections & term extention. W/ her as promoter, federalism now has 0 credibility

Opposition lawmaker Rep. Edgar Erice on the “Pepedederalismo” video starring sexy starlet Mocha Uson and a certain Drew Olivar:
It shows that even the officials of Malacañang doesn’t know anything about federalism that they resort to cheap gimmickry.@inquirerdotnet

Her continuing presence in government is an insult to all taxpayers, and doubly so to all public servants who do much more but get much less.
Creatively, intellectually, and morally, our country can do better than Mocha Uson. #FireMocha

The seriousness of the administration to shift to a federal form of government is reflected entirely in the use of Mocha Uson as chief propagandist.
Ms. Uson works for the President. Her work is the President’s work.
Yun lang yun.

Really, @MochaUson is the perfect mascot for federalism. She reflects the values and principles of those who push for it. She shows that at the end of the day, pera pera lang naman to. No need to learn and discern. Staying in power is importantest.

Mocha Uson knows that we know that she knows that she knows nothing and that she’s there for money. Wag na tayong maglokohan.

“Wala pong inilabas na pera dito sa video na ito…” – Mocha Uson
IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT PUBLIC FUNDS, YOU FUCKING IDIOT. IT’S ABOUT (1) TAKING YOUR JOB SERIOUSLY, (2) UPHOLDING THE DIGNITY OF PUBLIC OFFICE, AND (3) USING YOUR POSITION TO HEIGHTEN THE LEVEL OF DISCOURSE!!!! [1/2]
