The Fete style guide for comfort seekers

Our favorite free-for-all festival is back.

Fete de la Musique turns the city into a block party and makes music fans go ballistic (in a fun way). Plus, it’s a good place to have an unforgettable night out, the ultimate stage-hopping experience.

But is it a perfect place to flex? Is it a place to bust out new threads?

Let’s be real: Fete is fun, but it can be physically draining. We stage hop, do mosh pit dives (if we’re into that), and sweat buckets through the night. It seems our new jawnz don’t stand a chance of surviving. We have to go full-on practical.

Practicality doesn’t ruin a lewk. If bad gal Rih Rih and Jaden can bring it every ‘Chella season, you can do it, too. Here’s how to pull off an all-nighter Fete look while keeping it practical throughout.

Rompers are my best friend

Come on friends, it’s 2019. Fashion has no gender. Rompers are no exception. Men, women, and everyone in between can pull this off. It’s a quick fashion fix and it goes well with a cute purse or a belt bag. A solid color is cute, but don’t be afraid to try it with a pattern too.

I see through

Hoe but fashion? Don’t mind if we do! The weather right now is pretty unpredictable, even though it’s officially rainy season. One thing is certain though: It will still be humid AF. That’s why a sheer top or dress with a bikini underneath can be a good choice.

Although we’re keeping it chic, that doesn’t mean we can’t beat the heat. Best paired with reliable denim or windbreaker. Just in case the weather shifts.

The bottom line

Let’s give statement tees a rest for now. Shake it up with a simple top and eye-catching bottom. Sure, a shirt and pants ensemble might be simple but if you pull it off right, it just might work. Find sweats or jeans with wild patterns or colors. You’ll be surprised what it can do to your Fete wardrobe.

Be the shirt

Baggy tops and shirt dresses can save a look. It’s a bit lazy yet the look works. It pairs well with slip-ons, combat boots, or your chunky sneakers. Comfort is a beautiful dream when stunting around festival grounds. With this look, believe us—comfort is possible.
