Aseron’s Red Charity Gala collection explores his past work and experiences
The Red Charity Gala finally made its return, this time featuring the work of fashion designer Ivarluski Aseron.
Aseron paid homage to Philippine culture with his contemporary take on the Filipiniana, featuring the traditional yet modified banig. His collection centered on the theme “A Memoir in Motion” and serves as an accumulation of his past work and experiences.
The Red Charity Gala was originally launched in 2009 by Tessa Prieto and Kaye Tinga for the Philippine Red Cross.
Aside from Aseron, the Gala has also historically celebrated the creativity and ingenuity of Filipino talents, featuring others such as Rajo Laurel, Joey Samson, Chito Vijandre, and Lesley Mobo.
