Major plot twist: Paulo will be playing himself in the film.
Yesterday, the Alone/Together director posted a teaser on Instagram. It features a photo of Paulo Avelino and Jadaone’s mystery muse. ICYMI, they held an open call for Fangirl four months ago. Now, your average, tween super fan (i.e. underaged AF) has arrived.
Cool your jets, callout culture—this film is not a love story. Fangirl aims to be a cautionary tale for everyone. Its logline is as follows: An obsessed teenage fan finds herself inside a mansion with her celebrity idol she thought she knew and learns exactly why they say never meet your heroes.
Will Paulo crush us ala Dio in I’m Drunk, I Love You? Or go historical on us like in Goyo?
