Kathryn Bernardo, dog person, tries to be a cat lady

Kathryn Bernardo failed to befriend these cats during our cover shoot—Moki, the Persian ragdoll, climbed on her shoulder and stayed there for a while, though. That’s not surprising. After all, Kathryn admits she is a dog person. But lucky Kath, she’s getting along well with her white feline named Chloe.

This is Kathryn’s first cat though she’s always loved animals. Elephants, based on her emoji mileage on her Twitter account, are her favorite. Or maybe dogs. Right now, Kathryn shares her home with six dogs: Pablo, Tala, Cloud, Snow, Summer, and Storm. But Kath’s love for animals doesn’t end with the pets she has at home.

When news on the euthanasia of impounded dogs in Bulacan and Muntinlupa broke out last month, Kathryn called for support through social media. On Jul. 1, Kathryn and her partner Daniel Padilla donated 10 pet cages to Manila City Pound. In our interview with her, we found out she hopes to adopt another dog this year. And Kathryn wants you to know that you can also help these furry friends live happily.
