Brighter future seen between India and PH

India marked its 75th year as a republic and its National Day celebration last Jan. 26 at the Makati Shangri La, as India Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran shared its story of progress, growth, dynamism and achievement.

Today, India is the world’s fastest growing major economy and its informational technology experts play a major role in the global digital economy.

The stability provided by the current leadership allows the country to face multiple challenges, contribute to regional and global affairs and strengthen partnerships, such as the solid one it has had with the Philippines for many years.

Kumaran emphasized, “India stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our Filipino friends in working toward a shared objective of a peaceful and stable Indo-Pacific. We have and will continue to support each other in multilateral forms …. as two of the largest democracies in the region, the true strength of the Indo-Philippines partnership is in the relationship between our people.”
