Commemorating one’s birthday is not about when or where you cut the cake, but with whom you share this tender moment. That much is true with the recent celebration of Argentinian Consul Fabricio Sordoni’s 36th birthday.

Sordoni initially turned 36 on Mar. 30, however, he was away in Japan at that time. Monique Madsen organized and hosted a surprise birthday party upon his return last Apr. 17 in partnership with Spritz Makati located in Salcedo Village which provided the venue, food, and drinks for the guests.

With the help of Sordoni’s colleagues and Argentine diplomats Gabriel Rivera, Ana Clara Pinezza, and friend Aram Loe, they gathered 30 of his closest friends in Manila and his colleagues from the embassies of Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Mexico for a private party at Spritz.

The food, cocktails, bar setup, and decor were all prepared and provided for by the staff of Spritz Makati under owner and CEO Kyle Ley, who was also in attendance. DJ Skratchmark had the guests dancing until 2 a.m. in glee and with hopeful optimism for Sordoni.
