Eyeshadow can be very daunting, especially if you’re just starting out with makeup. It’s perfectly understandable to get lost in the amount of colors and textures offered by many different brands. It can also be hard to know all the different terms such as “transition shade” or “cut crease.”
But fear not, eyeshadow can be easy to conquer with just the right palettes. A beginner palette shouldn’t go too crazy with the colors but leave enough space for creativity. And just like any ideal palette, they must be super easy to blend. Here are some palettes that do just that.
Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells
The instructions are literally embossed on the shadows, perfect for those who don’t have enough time to practice their blending skills. You’ll be done with your makeup in no time with these three shades. The price point is also very beginner-friendly. Available on Beauty MNL.
Skinfood Mineral Sugar Blend Eyes 01. Berry Chiffon
Korean eyeshadow palettes are great for beginners because they only include a couple of shades. Skinfood’s Berry Chiffon uses all matte shadows whose formula is supposedly akin to sugar powder. The colors are not too daring and are perfect for that “no makeup” makeup look. Available on Althea.
Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Palette Mineral Contour
This palette is great if you want to experiment with both day and night looks with matte and shimmer textures. What’s more amazing is that Pixi by Petra suggests that even one shadow is enough on its own. Did I mention that they even include Vitamin E to nourish and protect the skin around our eyes? Available in SM Makati.
Dior 5 Couleurs Designer in Nude Pink
Dior’s 5 Couleurs Designer will make any beginner’s work look professional. The palette even includes a mini-tutorial on how to use the shadows. Even if it comes with a hefty price, there’s no denying Dior’s quality so buying this palette would be an investment. Available in SM Makati.
Stila Eyes Are The Window™ Shadow Paletten in Mind
Twelve shadows in one palette can be intimidating, but stay with me here. Stila offers a mix of great bases, neutral browns, and warm and cool purples. You can do looks for any occasion with this palette. The blendability and pigmentation is to die for as well. It’s also a good dupe for the Naked Ultimate Basics palette. Available in Rustan’s Makati.
