The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020 awarding, initially planned to be held in Kyushu, Japan, proceeded with its online live ceremony in response to the coronavirus pandemic. This year, Singapore’s Odette was once again crowned Asia’s Best Restaurant after it took the top spot from Bangkok’s Gaggan, which held the number one ranking for four straight years.
Toyo Eatery, the only Filipino restaurant to make it to the top 50, dropped a spot from 43rd last year to 44th.
