Pride events you can attend around Metro Manila this June


 

Pride Month is upon us and there are plenty of ways to celebrate, from participating in marches that advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and intersectional issues to parties that platform queer talents and voices to recreational activities organized in solidarity with the causes of the community.

Here are some of the Pride Month festivities happening in and around Metro Manila.

 

Surftown Pride

June 6 to 9

San Juan, La Union

 

A weekend full of activities that include a ballroom workshop, a Pride parade, drag performances, talks over coffee, a block party, and a ball.

 

Komiket Pride

June 7 to 9, 14 to 16

Ayala Malls the 30th, Pasig

 

Support Filipino artists, zine makers, and other creatives at this two-weekend comics art market.

 

The Elephant Party: God Save the Queens, Bless the Badings

June 7

Gravity Art Space, Quezon City

 

The group show and exhibit features new and old works by 30+ queer Filipino and British artists.

 

BHive Pride Night

June 7 and 28

The Bouldering Hive, Makati

 

Go on guided climbing sessions that also double as a lifestyle pop-up and pizza and burger party over two Fridays.

 

Butterboy: Pride Drag Brunch

Butterboy, Quezon City

 

Enjoy a serving of croissants and coffee with a side of drag performance by NAIA Black, Deja, O-A, and Shewarma. And it’s just the first of many Pride Drag Brunches that Butterboy will be hosting this June.
