Grey Day isn’t just a celebration of the brand’s most famous color palette, it also upholds the importance of non-traditional families
New Balance is commemorating more than a century of independence with the color that runs through its family lineage. More than just a hue, grey represents the fearless state of mind and unites a global family of independents.
The all-grey colorway was first introduced in 1980 with the intention of allowing footwear to fit into the existing lifestyle and cater to urban running, which challenged popular footwear trends of the times. Since then, more New Balance models have been released in grey and the color has become synonymous with the brand’s heritage and spirit.
Today, New Balance honors that heritage with the “Grey Runs in the Family” campaign, a salute to non-traditional families bound together by the love of sports, work, and travel, which features host and athlete Rovilson Fernandez, triathlon coach Don Velasco, and skater Margielyn Didal.
New Balance is also offering a special 20 percent discount on all grey items from Sept. 5 to 11 at the following New Balance stores: Glorietta, Trinoma, Alabang Town Center, Festival Alabang, and Bonifacio High Street.
