Don’t look now, but Disney and LucasFilm have finally found their young Han Solo.
After a search that reportedly involved actors such as Dave Franco (nah), Logan Lerman (ehh), Ansel Elgort (maybe?), and Miles Teller (absolutely not), the franchise has decided to hand the keys to the Millennium Falcon to former teen actor Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!, Beautiful Creatures, Blue Jasmine). His last movie Hail, Caesar! wasn’t particularly well-liked by critics, but Alden’s performance was praised.
No new details have been revealed about the young Han movie, other than production is scheduled to begin sometime in January, and scheduled for release on May 25, 2018.
Our only real concern is that the dude looks nothing like Harrison Ford (who was already kind of young when he first played Han Solo back in 1977), but if he’s a good actor, then he can probably allay all our fears.
