Watching gigs and music festivals have been sort of a hobby for us here at Scout. But when we heard that a few of the best local indie acts will be playing this weekend, we really couldn’t say no. I mean–rock and classical music on one stage? Count us all in.
Kia Beats is definitely a music festival like no other. The event, a back-to-back show to be held on September 9 and 10, brings together artists like Ang Bandang Shirley, Farewell Fair Weather, Motherbasss, and Rico Blanco on one stage playing with the Metro Manila Concert Orchestra. The show will be filled with new arrangements of well-loved songs like FFW’s “Sakali.” Ang Bandang Shirley will also be exclusively debuting a new song at this concert. If that isn’t enough to convince you, then I don’t know what will.
