Guess who might win at the MTV Europe Music Awards this year

By Celene Sakurako

Actor and Palm Dreams singer James Reid has been nominated for “Best Southeast Asia Act” at this year’s MTV Europe Music Award (EMA), slated to happen in London’s SSE Arena in Wembley, on Nov. 12, and we have a feeling he might just win.

Following recently announced film co-star actress and singer Sarah Geronimo’s nomination last year—who by the way won the award in 2014 and been nominated for the same award in 2013 and 2016, James Reid is up against Faizal Tahir (Malaysia), Dam Vinh Hung (Vietnam), Isyana Sarasvati (Indonesia), Slot Machine (Thailand), Palitchoke Ayanaputra (Thailand), and The Sam Willows (Singapore).

For those who don’t know already, James’ first release was in 2012, with his self-titled debut album James Reid. He’s been nominated for the “Best SEA” award before in 2015, and since then has established his own music label: Careless Music Manila, which currently holds Palm Dreams under its helm.
