On the evening of Nov. 28, Filipino dream pop duo Outerhope divulged the intricacies of their detail-heavy music video for “Airways,” a single off their album Vacation.
Squishing in different elements such as smoke, the sky, people in gas masks, and a whole lot of terrain mostly dressed in pigments of pink, this music video’s artistic execution adds flavor to the emotionally-capturing vibe of the act. Thanks to Dominic Bekaert‘s cinematic artistry and Clèmentine Comoy’s work in color grading, the “Airways” MV becomes more than a VHS-like experience.
Just last August, Outerhope released their album Vacation under Shelflife Records, an exciting feat after almost six years of staying distant from the spotlight. Their music consistently works well in both thinking and talking about losses–electronic beats come in every order.
