Let’s face it: It’s not easy to be productive these recent months. The gravity of everyday news and personal worries often take over our craft. However, some of us have managed to return to old hobbies too—like scriptwriting.
If you were able to finish a full-length screenplay recently (or you already did years back like the total G that you are), we present your next best stop: An online workshop that could dissect the heck out of it.
On Aug. 17, “Gusto Kita With All My Hypothalamus” director (and one of our fave storytellers) Dwein Baltazar announced her collaborative workshop “Labo-Laboratoryo” with “Sila Sila” director Giancarlo Abrahan. Based on the poster alone, expect your screenplay to be sharpened to a tee. Sounds like the type of mentorship you deserve.
To join, send your storyline and writer’s intent to anglabolabomo@gmail.com. “Mula dito pipiliin ang sampung full-length scripts na kakatayin namin ni Gi kasama ang iba pang workshoppers!” Dwein writes. They plan to start this next month via Zoom, with one session per script. Good luck. And we wish you no heavy punch of self-doubt until the deadline on Aug. 25, 11:58 p.m.
